Virtex-II ProX 6.5 Gbps RocketIO Platform

Virtex-II Pro X Platform FPGAs extend the current Virtex-II Pro family with two new devices. These devices are the first FPGAs in the industry to incorporate 10.3125 Gbps serial transceivers. With up to 20 RocketIO X transceivers ranging from 2.488 Gbps to 10.3125 Gbps per channel, Virtex-II Pro X FPGAs offer the same features as the successful Virtex-II Pro family, and provide a seamless migration path for higher performance serial applications.

The MK325 ( populated with XC2VP70X) platform allows designers to investigate and experiment with the features of the Virtex-II ProX Rocket I/O Multi Gigabit Transceivers. The MK325 is the official platform for full and detailed characterization of the high speed IO channels of Virtex-II ProX XC2VP70X.
